Announces Resignation of
Chairman |

TORONTO, September 5th 2008 - Arehada
Mining Limited (TSX:
AHD),
(the "Company") today announced the resignation
of Christopher J.F. Harrop as a director
and chairman of the board, effective today.
The board will determine the appointment
of a new chairman in the near future. Mr.
Kak Fung Wong will assume Mr. Harrop's role
on the audit committee.
"Mr. Harrop has provided tremendous leadership
and valuable guidance to the company since
May 2007." said Mr. Jack Duffy, director
and chair of the audit committee. "On behalf
of the board of directors, I would like
to thank Mr. Harrop for his contribution."

Arehada Mining Limited is engaged in the
exploration, development, extraction and
production of zinc, lead and silver in Dongwuzhumuqinqi,
located in Inner Mongolia, China. Arehada
produces zinc and lead concentrates, which
are then sold to smelters in China.
Arehada has completed construction of
a zinc processing plant which is currently
producing zinc calcine and sulphuric acid.
